The list below describes the verification/validation activities currently provided by GIC Vietnam. For each request, GIC Vietnam reviews the subject, program, criteria, scope, competence, resources, and objectivity before accepting the service.
Verification of organizational GHG inventory reports
Subject
Statement or report on the organization's GHG emission and removal inventory.
Applicable criteria
ISO 14064-1:2018; GHG Protocol – Corporate Standard and/or Vietnamese legal regulations when selected.
Verification activity
ISO 14064-3:2019; ISO/IEC 17029:2019; ISO 14065:2020; ISO 14066:2023 and IAF MD 6:2024 when applicable.
Verification of GHG project results
Subject
Statement on the project's achieved GHG emission reductions or removal enhancements, prepared based on historical data and actual results.
Applicable criteria
ISO 14064-2:2019 and/or criteria of the applicable GHG program.
Verification activity
ISO 14064-3:2019; ISO/IEC 17029:2019; ISO 14065:2020; ISO 14066:2023 and IAF MD 6:2024 when applicable.
Verification of Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP)
Subject
Report or statement on the carbon footprint of a specific product, service, or product group.
Applicable criteria
ISO 14067:2018 and Product Category Rules (PCR) or requirements of the applicable program.
Verification activity
ISO 14064-3:2019; ISO/IEC 17029:2019 and ISO 14065:2020.
Verification of ESG/Sustainability Reports
Subject
Reports, indicators, data, or statements on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters.
Applicable criteria
GRI Standards, IWA 48:2024, IFRS S1/S2 and/or agreed criteria and programs.
Verification activity
ISO/IEC 17029:2019 and requirements of the applicable program.
APPLICATION AND UPDATE PRINCIPLES
- Specific criteria and programs are agreed upon via contract or service agreement for each engagement.
- GIC Vietnam only accepts engagements when it has sufficient competence, resources, and ensured objectivity.
- The list and accreditation status are updated whenever there are changes to the services, programs, or scope of accreditation.
