 5S Certification
I. INTRODUCTION TO 5S
1- 5S is an acronym of five Japanese words: “SEIRI”, “SEITON”, “SEISO”, “SEIKETSU” and “SHITSUKE” that is equivalent to “SÀNG LỌC”, “SẮP XẾP”, ‘SẠCH SẼ’, “SĂN SÓC”, and “SẴN SÀNG” in Vietnamese
- SEIRI: Sort and discard unnecessary items in the workplace
- SEITON: Arrange necessary items so that they can be easily selected for use
- SEISO: Clean workplace completely to remove dust from the floors, machines or equipment
- SEIKETSU: Keep workplace clean, comfortable and productive by repeating Seiri, Seiton, Seiso
- SHITSUKE: Train people to follow good work habits
2- 5S is a useful tool to enable enterprises to develop an effective and visual workplace. The 5S implementation creates a clean and user-friendly environment which encourages and promotes creativity and idea of every employee.
